Working at a print shop was one of those jobs that taught me the most about getthing things print ready
for use with different applications. Aside from computer work, we had to cut menus, laminate manuals, and even
drive out to work sites to measure for large format printing. After which we would install it on whichever
surface the client wanted, usually glass. Designing for large print jobs really teaches you how to setup files using
bleed, safe areas, and trim marks. Installing it makes your designs better, as it gives you insight on what
will and will not work on a large scale.
